No Credibility

Well, I lost all respect for Darrell Waltrip after seeing this. Apparently he would only abide by the vote if the result was what he wanted. Therefore, I will continue my tradition of muting the TV at the start of every event to avoid listening to him.

Anyone who has watched the start of a NASCAR race on FOX knows what this is about. One of the announcers, a former driver named Darrell Waltrip, blurts out the ridiculous phrase of "Boogity, boogity, boogity!" when the green flag is waved to start a race. Its lame and annoying. And now we have a chance to end this tradition! Go to this page to register a vote to determine if he will continue the "Boogity" tradition. If the "Yes" votes are below 50%, he will stop.

If they do it right, this could be awesome. My fear is that they will change too many things and lose the essence of the show.

Car of What?

NASCAR recently debuted a new spec stock car that has come to be known as the "car of tomorrow". While there are many things about this car that are good (less aerodynamic, larger, safer, etc.) there's one thing I just can't get over: the way it looks. It is almost as ugly as a Pontiac Aztek. First the massive wing on the back. It looks like Wingo from the Cars movie. And then the "splitter" on the front. That's the part I really can't stand. It makes them look like little pickup trucks. Keep the rest of the car, get rid of the stupid wing and splitter PLEASE!!!
